I enjoyed looking at "What To Read Next". The spreadsheet gave some great ideas of what to read.
I read "The Next Big Thing" and "Who's Buying Teen Books". Both articles gave basically the same information. I found it interesting that 78% of adults who were buying the young adult books said that they were buying them for themselves. I have always enjoyed teen books and feel that they are shorter and faster paced just like the articles mentioned.
I commented on two colleagues blogs.
Cassandra Clare’s Tumblr is written by Cassandra Clare and she writes about urban fantasy for young adults centering on the adventures Shadowhunters. The intended audience of this blog is for her fans. It has lots of catchy graphics and sceens from her new movie.
Forever Young Adult is a site for YA readers who are a little less Y and a bit more A. FYA is a place where you can let your inner Lady Nerd loose and swoon over fictional characters without shame. From book reviews to TV crushes to movie drinking games, it's basically a non-stop internet slumber party, and you're totally invited! Readers may submit a novel, film or television show for possible review on FYA. This site has a list of book clubs (one is in Baltimore), movie reviews and lots of other handy information.
Harper Teen and MacMillan have series as some of their top sellers. Seems as if series never go out of style.
