"A Curious Man" by Thompson is is a fast paced biography of Robert Ripley of the Ripley's Believe It Or Not. This book paints a vivid picture of a complex character who travels around the world celebrating strange and unbelievable things. In this book you will learn about this eccentric man and his unusually exotic life. (I would recommend this books to people who like biographies and are fans of "Believe it or Not".)

"Seabiscuit" by Hillenbrand was a popular come from behind horse in the 1930's. This is a heartfelt story of underdogs in the horse racing industry. With good characterization this exciting story reads like a fiction novel. This books details the life of Seabiscuit and those who helped the horse to become successful. (I would recommend this book to someone who was interested in horses or enjoyed reading come from behind success or inspirational stories.)
